FRONTLINE PLUS is water-fast. It is OK to bathe your pet before using FRONTLINE PLUS, but the coat should be completely dry prior to application. In the 48 hours immediately after treatment, do not bath, shampoo or let your dog go swimming. Cats can be bathed from 24 hours after treatment.

This should give enough time for the serum to spread over the body and prevent infestation of fleas and ticks. You should also wait 48 hours after a bath before applying spot-on treatment. This will give the dog’s skin time to get to a normal balance in terms of natural oils.

The answer is that it depends on the product. The oral products have no impact on bathing. In fact, owners of dogs that are big swimmers often choose oral products over topical products. We generally recommend for most topical products is that you wait 24 to 48 hours before bathing your pet.
