By Whitney Saupan. Technically I lied; burning water isn’t really possible because it just evaporates. But you can make a kitchen smell horrible and make a huge mess if you accidently let the water boil over the side of the dish, hit the burners, and evaporate on the stove top.

Water can be used to put out Class A fires that involve flammable solids such as wood, paper, or plastic.
Can you burn liquid?
Flammable and combustible liquids ignite easily and burn with extreme rapidity. Flammability is determined by the flash point of a material. Flash point is the minimum temperature at which a liquid forms a vapor above its surface in sufficient concentration that it can be ignited.
Is it possible to burn milk?
Always simmer, if you boil milk too hard or too fast it will scorch and burn if not stirred. As soon as it boils remove from the heat and keep stirring. Use microwave or double boiler if you have one of these.

Can you burn air?
Air will never spontaneously combust, nor can it be made to burn non-spontaneously. Air is mostly nitrogen, which is not flammable. Nitrogen is also non-reactive in general, so it doesn’t support the combustion of other materials, either. After nitrogen, the most abundant gas in our air is oxygen.
Can you burn rice?
This is how you can avoid burning rice in a pot
If the pot itself is too thin, the heat from the stove can easily overcook the rice on the bottom of the pot. Using a thicker, heavier-bottomed cooking vessel could solve your burned stovetop rice issue. It could also be that you’ve turned the burner on too high.

What fire Cannot use water?
APWs are designed for Class A (wood, paper, cloth) fires only. Never use water to extinguish flammable liquid fires. Water is extremely ineffective at extinguishing this type of fire, and you may, in fact, spread the fire if you try to use water on it. Never use water to extinguish an electrical fire.
Why is h2o not flammable?
The reason that water (in any state) is not flammable is that it is already the product of combustion. The chemical equation for this reaction is: 2H2 + O2 -> 2H2O. The reaction also releases a large amount of energy, mostly in the form of heat that causes the water vapor to expand rapidly to a large volume.
What is the most flammable thing on earth?
1) Chlorine Trifluoride is the most flammable gas
Of all the dangerous chemical gases, chlorine trifluoride is known to be the most flammable. It is a colorless and extremely reactive gas that can burn through concrete and gravel.
Is there fire that doesn’t burn?
A cool flame or invisible flame is a flame having maximal temperature below about 400 °C (752 °F). It is usually produced in a chemical reaction of a certain fuel-air mixture. Contrary to conventional flame, the reaction is not vigorous and releases very little heat, light, and carbon dioxide.
Can you burn coffee?
Yes, it is possible to burn coffee if someone continues to cook it for prolonged hours. But a specific 100 degree Celsius is not the burning point for coffee. You will observe many of coffee makers very specifically measuring water temperature. And they will put the grounds when the water will be 90 to 95 degrees.

Without the right temperature and cooking time, milk will loose its taste and become scorched and curdled.
Can you burn salt water?
When exposed to a radio-frequency field, salt water appears to burst into flame. When exposed to a radio-frequency field, salt water appears to burst into flame. IT’S DRAMATIC, no doubt. Take a simple radio-frequency field, a beaker of salt water, a match, and voilà—the water bursts into flame.

Oxygen makes other things ignite at a lower temperature, and burn hotter and faster. But oxygen itself does not catch fire.”
